According to various Italian reports, Arsenal’s €60 million (£51 million) offer for Victor Osimhen was rejected by Napoli.
Following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette this season, the Gunners want to sign two new strikers in the summer transfer window.
The club have held extensive talks to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City but Osimhen is also on the club’s shortlist.
The 23-year-old Edo born striker has scored 28 goals in 62 appearances since joining Napoli in a £69.5m deal from Lille in 2020.
According to Il Mattino, Arsenal have already tried with a €60m (£51m) but that has been turned down by Napoli.
The report claims that the Serie A club are demanding a €100m (£85m) fee for the Nigeria international.
Osimhen scored 18 goals in 32 games for Napoli last season, and he has 24 goals in 51 Serie A games since moving to Italy.
